UNO’s Child Care Center celebrates 30 years of service with Carnival Party

The University of Nebraska Omaha’s Child Care Center will host a carnival today in celebration of its 30 years of service.

The carnival party is from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature a variety of games, including duck pond, ring toss, cookie decorating, basketball and face painting. The Omaha Police and Fire Departments will make an appearance.

The C.H.A.M.P.S. group will provide hotdogs and chips at no cost to party goers. Other treats will include a cotton candy and popcorn.

UNO’s Child Care Center is a leader in researching the care, education and development of young children. It provides opportunities for university students and members of the community to increase their knowledge of child development, developmentally appropriate teaching practices, anti-bias and non-violence program planning, child care administration and parent/teacher/child interactions.

Since 1990, has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
