University of Nebraska at Omaha students in the college of fine arts and communication received an email Sunday night about a possible bedbug sighting in the Strauss Performing Arts Center.
The email, sent by Michael Hilt, the interim dean of the college of communication, fine arts and media, briefed students on the possibility of bedbugs on campus.
The possibility of bedbugs was brought to the university’s attention after at least one student reported bedbugs, according to WOWT 6 news.
In his email, Hilt said University Facilities has hired a local firm to monitor Strauss for bedbugs. No bedbugs have been found as of Monday morning, according to an updated email sent by Hilt.
Hilt told students to direct questions to him and said he will keep students up to date on the situation.
