The UNO Health Fair, presented by Student Health and Mav-Rec Wellness, was held last Thursday in the newly renovated Health, Physical Education and Recreation building.
The fair offered blood draws, free screenings, free chair massages and door prizes. A free continental breakfast was also served. Over 50 vendors were present, offering students, faculty and staff resources for living a healthier lifestyle.
The blood draw consisted of over 40 tests including cholesterol, triglycerides and anemia screenings as well as thyroid, kidney and liver tests. Hemoglobin A1C tests were also available to men for an additional fee.
The UNO Health Fair is an annual event to help educate and inform the campus community about adapting a healthier lifestyle.
