Swimming and diving team excels at Grinnell Invitational

The Omaha swimming and diving team dominated the competition at the Grinnell Invite on Friday, earning 630 points, good for first place. Below are the team standings through day one:

Men’s golf team put at seventh in preseason poll

The Omaha men’s golf team received 18 points, good for seventh place, in the Summit League preseason coaches poll. South Dakota State was picked to win the league championship with 60 points. The rest of the poll saw No. 2 Oral Roberts, No. 3 Western Illinois, No. 4 Denver, No. 5 South Dakota, No. 6 IUPUI, No. 7 Omaha, No. 8 Fort Wayne and No. 9 North Dakota State. Omaha opens their spring season at Nicholls State on Feb. 22-
