Twenty-six minors received an unwelcome surprise Friday night, when Omaha Police responded to a disturance call reporting at 2211 Maple Street and cited all 26 for minor in possession of alcohol.
Twenty-two-year-old Richard Gregory, who rents the house, was booked for 26 counts of procuring to the delinquency of a minor.
At 2:51 a.m., Friday morning, officers received a call regarding a large disturbance, partying and drinking. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Gregory and approximately 35 partiers, according to an OPD press release.
After contact, officers observed many of the partygoers imbibing alcohol inside and outside the residence were under the age of 21.
Another partygoer was cited for obstructing a police officer, bringing the total number of arrests to 27.
“I don’t know that we’ve ever had an arrest this big,” said OPD Lt. Darci Tierny. “We try to arrest anyone we catch. This was a big arrest.”
