Elaine Wells, an Omaha Public Schools paraprofessional and a marriage counselor, holds a sign in protest of STRATCOM and weapons of mass destruction Wednesday afternoon on 68th and Pine streets south of the Peter Kiewit Institute at the old Aksarben property. Wells and about 10 others held the vigil for the beginning of Lent. Omaha Catholic Workers and Nebraskans for Peace will be holding vigils there every Wednesday until the end of Lent, April 4, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
