Gateway readers,
As you may have seen recently, in a movement spurred by the Boston Globe, over
350 news outlets have come forward with columns describing their publication’s disdain
for the rampant mistrust of the media in 2018. We came together as a staff at the Gateway to discuss this movement and learned that we, as journalists, are not monolithic. We have individual views and opinions, and while we could not all agree on one statement regarding this movement, we felt it necessary to speak on behalf of it. Below are the opinions of a handful of our staff members.
