Finals are coming! Finals are coming!

We all know the last few weeks of the semester are kind of crazy-hectic.

To lighten the mood or to keep your sanity, you might want to check out “De-Stress Fest”.

Here’s the list for the week-long event series…

MONDAY, APRIL 27

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pick up a free Finals Survival Kit in Mammel Hall filled with goodies to help you get through Finals Week. Feeling stressed and have some tension? Swing by the HPER building for a free chair massage.

TUESDAY, APRIL 28

10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Clear your mind with at a free yoga and meditation workshop in the Nebraska-Aksarben Rooms of the Milo Bail Student Center. Mary Clare Sweet, owner of Lotus House of Yoga, will speak about the practices of meditation, yoga, and breath. The workshop will introduce you to a few easy-to-use meditation techniques. Meditation pillows, blankets, and chairs provided.

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Free Finals Survival Kit will be available in PKI. Free chair massages will be available in the library.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pet-a-Puppy and super cute dogs at the Pep Bowl and enjoy free puppy chow courtesy of Maverick Productions.

Noon to 1:30 p.m.
Participate in on guided Poker Run/Walk throughout campus where you’ll receive a playing card at various stops for prizes. Registration begins at 11:45 a.m. outside of the HPER building entrance. The event will begin promptly at noon. If there is inclement weather the event and registration will be held inside the HPER building.

Noon to 1 p.m.
Engage in a meaningful service project at CEC 130 while enjoying free lunch provided by the Office of Civic and Social Responsibility.

​THURSDAY, APRIL 30

4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Why not do a little trash talking? Write down your stress, ball up the paper and toss it from the walking track down to the HPER Gym. Your “stress ball” may land on some cool prizes on the floor. Enjoy free Jimmy John’s sandwich with chips then relax while learning about some helpful study and stress tips for Finals Week.

5 p.m.
Relax outdoors — maybe take a snooze. Enjoy delicious food, yard games and great company — the Outdoor Venture Center (OVC) and Maverick Productions — at the Pep Bowl with the Please bring your own sleeping bag. Tents will be provided.

SATURDAY, MAY 2

Noon and 2 p.m.
UNO Women’s Softball will play against Western Illinois at the Westside Field at Westbrook. Bring your MavCARD to get into the game for free.

SUNDAY, MAY 3

11 a.m.
UNO Women’s Softball will play against Western Illinois at the Westside Field at Westbrook. Bring your MavCARD to get into the game for free.

MONDAY, MAY 4

8 p.m. to midnight
Head to the Relaxation Station in CEC. For a $5 fee, you’ll get unlimited food, fun and a stress-free environment. Students can play board games, get a back or foot massage, do some service activities in the creative zone or just enjoy some music while relaxing with friends. Snacks and drinks will be provided all night with catered food provided during certain hours (check below.) All proceeds will benefit Children’s Hospital and Medical Center Foundation.

8 p.m.: Qdoba
9:30 p.m.: Raising Canes
11 p.m.: Topper’s Pizza
8 p.m. to midnight: Coffee Bar (unlimited drinks)

TUESDAY, MAY 5

9 p.m. to midnight
Enjoy some late night food and fun — a free late-night breakfast will be provided — at the Scott Conference Center. Joe Cole, a magician and comedian will perform, and a free Tarot Card reader will be available.
