It's 9:00 a.m.  Your alarm screeches in your ear. You groan, fumble for the off switch and end the din. You trudge to the kitchen with heavy eyelids and an empty stomach and begin your daily routine: cereal for breakfast and a hot shower. You pull on a comfortable pair of sweatpants and a wrinkled T-shirt. It's time for school.

Recently, Doris Buffett, Warren Buffett's sister, visited Angela Eikenberry's and Associate Dean of the College of Public Affairs and Community Service Sara Woods'  Philanthropy and Democracy class.

The new MavLink system was designed to update the clunky, outdated version of the online tool to suit today's technologically advanced students, said recently re-elected student senator Terrence Batiste in an interview with the Gateway.

Students caught a glimpse of the Freshman Leadership Council (FLC) last week, as they stood both inside and outside the student center with an oversized greeting card, urging passersby to write messages for incoming freshmen.  The greeting card, which will be presented to incoming freshmen this fall, is a new idea the FLC hopes to make a UNO tradition.

Students and community members anxious to learn more about the organization Invisible Children left the MBSC Ballroom April 13 with knowledge of a conflict completely foreign to U.S. soil.

University of Nebraska Omaha administration and faculty will support and offer aid to new Student Body President/Regent Liz O'Connor and Vice-President Bret Harrell, said Chancellor John Christensen at the April 18 inauguration ceremony.

The University of Nebraska Board of Regents voted unanimously March 25 to accept UNO's invitation to join the Summit League, moving the University to Division I athletics.
