Nov. 9: Free public play reading of “This is the Sound” at the Omaha Community Playhouse at 7 p.m.
Nov. 11: The Expendables with C-Money & The Players, The Flatliners and The Snips at The Waiting Room at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance and $17 at the door.
Nov 12: Maverick Productions brings Girl Talk to Sokol Auditorium at 7 p.m. Student tickets are $7 and can be purchased in the Milo Bail Student Center business office. Public tickets are $16 and can be purchased on etix.com.
Nov. 13: Gunk – Police and Thieves, with Kobrakyle, $pencelove and Brent Tactic at The Waiting Room at 9 p.m. Tickets are $5 or free for 21+ before 10:30 p.m.
Nov 14: Maverick Productions hosts Reality Check Game Show, an interactive game show about alcohol and drug awareness, at Scott Hall Conference Center at 6 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded.
Nov. 15: Pretty Lights with VibeSquad and Gramatik at Sokol Auditorium at 9 p.m. Tickets $22 in advance, $25 at the door.
Nov. 16: Colour Revolt with Skypiper at The Waiting Room at 9 p.m. Tickets are $8.
Nov. 17: Fancy Party Comedy featuring Zach Petersn, Richard Reese, Nick Allen and Scott Mullenburg at The Waiting Room at 9 p.m. No cover charge.
Nov. 17-20: UNO’s Department of Theatre premieres “Noises Off,” directed by Scott Glasser. Doors open at 7 p.m. with curtain call at 7:30 p.m. Previews on the 17-18 are $5 for general admission, and $15 during performances on the 19-20. Tickets are free for UNO students with university ID and $5 for all other students with school IDs.
Nov. 18: Ensemble A.M.I. (Artificial Music Initiative), UNO’s computer and electronic music ensemble, performs Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” at the Strauss Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for general admission and free for student faculty and staff with university IDs. A pre-concert lecture on Pink Floyd’s music by Tomm Roland will commence at 6:15 p.m.
Nov. 18: Hed PE with Boondox and Axe Murder Boyz at The Waiting Room at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20.
Nov. 19: Tim Kasher with Darren Hanlon and Conduits at The Waiting Room at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10.
Nov. 20: Pomeroy at The Waiting Room at 9 p.m. Tickets are $13.
Nov. 20-21: World AIDS Day dance marathon at the Milo Bail Student Center from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. Tickets are $20 per person which includes food, a T-shirt, activites and live music. $15 per person will be donated to Camp Kindle and the Nebraska AIDS Project. Prizes will be awarded to the team that raises the most money.
Nov 22: Maverick Productions hosts Comedy Night featuring comedians Dan Cummins and Kevin Shea in the Milo Bail Student Center Nebraska Room at 7 p.m. Free food provided.
Nov. 23: Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s with Jookabox and Burnt Ones at The Waiting Room at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10.
Nov. 24: Every Time I Die with Trap Them, Howl, Gaza and Balowolf at Sokol Underground at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.
Nov. 26: Satchel Grande at The Waiting Room at 9 p.m. Tickets are $7 at the door.
Nov. 27: The Envy Corps with Cashes Rivers and Mitch Gettman at The Waiting Room at 9 p.m. Tickets are $8.
Nov. 28: Mark Mallman at The Waiting Room at 9 p.m. Tickets are $8.
Throughout November: Final exhibiton of the semester at the UNO art gallery, feating works by BFA and BA senior students from the Department of Art and Art History. The exhibition will run through Dec. 17. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
