A group of hundreds gathered at 72nd and Dodge streets on Friday night to “Stand Against Injustice” and protest the death of unarmed Black man, George Floyd, by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.
The event started off as a peaceful protest, but as the night proceeded the peace dissolved. Police fired tear gas and pepper bombs at the protestors to attempt to control the crowds as they were flooding into the streets.
Take a look through the lens of what happened.
