The University of Nebraska at Omaha is the second-largest higher education institution in Nebraska with more than 15,000 students enrolled during the fall and spring semesters. The college has the largest population of college-age students in Omaha, Nebraska’s largest city.
The Gateway began around 110 years ago in 1913. In 2006 and 2009, The Gateway and its staff writers brought home several top awards from the Nebraska Press Association including advertising design, layout and photography.
