Here’s a big list of free summer concert series you should attend – if you haven’t already.

WEDNESDAYS:

Music and Movies in Bayliss Park – Council Bluffs
Every Wednesday through Sept. 2, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

THURSDAYS:

Summer Kickoff Concert Series – Midtown Crossing
On this Thursday, 7 p.m.
Welcome two home-grown favorites to the Pavilion at Turner Park stage. Bring blankets or chairs. Food and beverages available for purchase. First three hours of garage parking is free.

Bellevue Music in the Parks
Every Thursday through July 9, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Music in the Parks will be performed every Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at Washington Park, near 20th and Franklin Streets in Bellevue. Concerts are approximately one hour long.

Playing with Fire – Midtown Crossing
Thursdays June 18, June 25 and July 2, 5:30 p.m.
Playing with Fire gives fans the best in blues, soul, funk, R&B, and rock. Blankets/chairs welcome; food and beverages available for purchase. First three hours of garage parking is free.

Jazz on the Green – Midtown Crossing
Thursdays from July 9 to Aug. 13, 7:30 p.m.
Park opens for seating at 5 p.m. unless otherwise noted. First three hours of garage parking is free.

End of Summer Concert Series – Midtown Crossing
Every Thursday starting Aug. 20 to Sept. 3, 7 p.m.
Enjoy a pre-concert entertainment by musicians and performers from the University of Nebraska at Omaha at 6:30 p.m.

FRIDAYS:

Sounds of Summer  – Shadow Lake Towne Center
Every Friday through Aug. 21, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Live outdoor music at the amphitheatre; bring your blankets or chairs. Kids can enjoy free face painting or balloon art each week.

Friday Night Concerts – Rockbrook Village
Every Friday through Aug. 28, 7 p.m.
Local musicians will perform throughout the summer. Bring a lawn chair or blankets.

Bridge Beats Friday Night Music Series
Every other Friday through Sept. 18, 6 p.m.
The City of Omaha-sponsored live music series is held on the Omaha side of the Bob Kerrey Bridge Plaza. Bring chairs or blankets. Limited seating.

Cox Music and Movies – Holland Center East Lawn 
Fridays starting July 10 through July 24, 7:30 p.m.
Blankets and chairs welcome. Patrons will be allowed to bring food (no alcoholic beverages) to events. Live band performs at 7:30 p.m., films will follow at dusk. Events will be held rain or shine.
July 10: film – Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory; band – Michael Lyon and the Steve Thornberg Trio
July 17: film – The Lego Movie; band – Clark & Co.
July 24: film – The Amazing Spider-Man; band – Blue House

Bank of the West Celebrates America
On June 26, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Memorial Park
Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and Eddie Money will perform, following will be the Fireworks Grand Finale.

La Vista Concerts and Movies
Showtimes: June 12, July 10, August 14; 7 p.m.
The following live bands and films will be shown at the La Vista Public Library, 9110 Giles Road:
June 12 – Charm School Dropouts followed by “Big Hero 6″, 7 p.m.
July 10 – Blue House followed by “Pitch Perfect”, 7 p.m.
Aug. 14 – The Grease Band followed by “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day”, 7 p.m.

SATURDAYS

Saturdays at Stinson – Aksarben Village
Every Saturday through Aug. 29, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Aside from the live music, there will be food and drink vendors, face painting, and balloon artists. Kids can play in the playground area or near the fountain. Bring your chair and/or blanket.

Vibes at Village Pointe
Every Saturday through Aug. 22, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Kids can enjoy free face painting or balloon art each week. Blankets and chairs encouraged.
